Privacy Policy

Log Data

We log your browser information, IP address, and the URLs you visit. Logs are stored for 1 month.

This only applies to our API. Our website is static and doesn't collect any logs.

Account and File Data

When you create an account, we store the following:

1. Your IP address
2. Your username
3. Which invite code was used (if any)
4. Date of creation
5. The unique identifier of your account
6. Your unique authentication token

When you upload a file, we store the following:

1. The size of the file
2. The SHA256 hash of the file
3. The original file name
4. The unique identifier of the file
5. The account ID of the uploader
6. The IP address the file was uploaded from

When you create a folder, we store the following:

1. The files in it
2. The name of it
3. The IP address the file was created from

Acrylix doesn't require you to submit any contact data (such as an email or a phone number) during registration. You will be given a login token instead, which is a randomly generated string.

This token is what you use to log in and access the API.

If you want to prevent Acrylix from knowing anything about you, use Tor or a competent VPN and maintain basic OPSEC.

Local Storage

We use local storage (similar to cookies) to store authentication data. It's not used until you create an account or log in into an already existing account.

What do we do with your information

We have never sold and will never sell your information to anyone.

We use your information to:

1. Provide you with our services
2. Comply with legal orders. Acrylix has received 0 legal requests so far. If we ever do - they'll be published on our Transparency Reports page
3. Prevent abuse or fraud and to enforce the Acceptable Usage Policy

Ads

Unfortunately, we need ads to be able to pay for server bills. We try to make them as minimal and less annoying as possible.

All ads are provided by Adsterra. Their privacy policy is here.

Ads are only displayed on webview links (those that start with wv.acrylix.vip/...)

We only display ads if all of these conditions match:

1. The user does not have any form of ad blockers enabled (the usage of ad blockers doesn't violate our terms of service).
2. The user didn't manually disable ads by following the technical instructions logged in their browser's console.
3. The file isn't an image, GIF, or an audio file (these files are usually small, and it's pointless to have ads on small files).
4. The user is on a desktop device with the screen width greater than than 1000 pixels.
5. The file exists and wasn't removed by a moderator.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete it from our servers and terminate their account.

What are your data protection rights under GDPR?

Every user is entitled to the following:

1. The right to access - You have the right to request Acrylix for copies of your personal data.
2. The right to rectification - You have the right to request that Acrylix corrects any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Acrylix to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
3. The right to erasure - You have the right to request that Acrylix erases your personal data.
4. The right to restrict processing - You have the right to request that Acrylix restricts the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

Deleting your data

You can delete all of your data, including files and folders, by contacting support@acrylix.vip. You can also delete individual files or folders from the web panel or ask support to do it for you.

Once deleted, your data is immediately gone, unless retention is required for legal reasons.

Who has access to my files?

Your files are only accessible to people who have the direct link or file ID.

- Can someone guess the file/folder ID?

A file or folder ID consists of 32 characters (excluding the first two, which represent the upload region and vary by user). It can include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers. With 62^32 possible combinations and accounting for ratelimiting and latency, it's nearly impossible for anyone to guess a valid ID.

Can Acrylix access my files?

Yes, technically we can - this is true for any file hosting service. However, we respect your privacy and don't access user files in most cases.

- When we might access files:

• If we receive a valid legal request
• If someone reports content that violates our terms of service or applicable laws

If you're uploading sensitive files, we recommend putting them in a password-protected zip file before uploading. That way, even if someone has the link, they'll need the password to access the contents.

Encryption

All data is encrypted during transmission due to HTTPS and files are encrypted using ChaCha20-Poly1305 on disk.

Transparency Reports

We publish all transparency reports; this includes legal orders (unless we are forbidden to disclose them by law) and all moderation actions.

We also publish all announcements and general news in our Discord server.
